Verse 24 is found in chapter 11 of Deuteronomy. Moses commands the people to place God’s words in their hearts and teach them continually to their children. The law must shape family and public life, and entering Canaan is connected with obedience. The section ends by announcing the proclamation of blessing and curse on Mount Gerizim and Mount Ebal, anticipating the public ratification of the covenant’s conditions.
