When thou art in tribulation, and all these things are come upon thee, even in the latter days, if thou turn to the LORD thy God, and shalt be obedient unto his voice;
A verse can bring hope. Share this message of faith with someone you care about.
Verse 30 is found in chapter 4 of Deuteronomy. Moses anticipates the possibility that future generations will become corrupt and worship images, bringing God’s judgment upon themselves. Yet he also announces that in the midst of exile Israel will be able to seek the Lord again and find him if they seek him with all their heart. The passage combines warning and hope: unfaithfulness will have consequences, but the covenant is not presented as completely canceled in the face of repentance.

Wenn du geängstet sein wirst und dich treffen werden alle diese Dinge in den letzten Tage, so wirst du dich bekehren zu dem HERRN, deinem Gott, und seiner Stimme gehorchen.
Cuando estuviereis en angustia, y te alcanzaren todas estas cosas, si en los postreros días te volvieres a Jehová tu Dios, y oyeres su voz;
Au sein de ta détresse, toutes ces choses t'arriveront. Alors, dans la suite des temps, tu retourneras à l'Eternel, ton Dieu, et tu écouteras sa voix;
Quando tu sarai in angoscia, e tutte queste cose ti saranno avvenute, se negli ultimi tempi tu ti converti al Signore Iddio tuo, e ubbidisci alla sua voce;
