Verse 19 is found in chapter 2 of Hosea. Israel will again call the Lord "my husband" and leave behind the language associated with Baal. God promises to establish again a relationship resembling a marital covenant, characterized by righteousness, mercy, compassion, faithfulness, and knowledge of God. Restoration is not reduced to material prosperity: it consists of rebuilding the faithfulness that was destroyed by idolatry.

Je serai ton fiancé pour toujours; je serai ton fiancé par la justice, la droiture, la grâce et la miséricorde;
Ed io ti sposerò in eterno; e ti sposerò in giustizia, e in giudicio, e in benignità, e in compassioni.
我必聘你永遠歸我為妻,以公義、公平、慈愛、憐憫聘你歸我;
