The verse 6 is found in chapter 2 of Isaiah. After the vision of peace comes an accusation against Judah’s pride, its trust in wealth, horses, idols, and human alliances. The day of Yahweh will bring down all human greatness. The contrast with the opening verses is deliberate: God’s future kingdom cannot coexist with a community that attributes its security to its own strength.
