The verse 9 is found in chapter 33 of Jeremiah. While Jeremiah is imprisoned, Yahweh promises to reveal great and hidden things. The city currently filled with corpses will be restored and will again hear voices of joy, marriage, and worship. The promise demonstrates that Jerusalem’s present condition does not determine its final destiny.
