Verse 2 is found in chapter 34 of Job. Elihu examines Job’s words again and rejects the idea that God could commit injustice. He states that God rules without partiality and cannot act wickedly. His primary concern is to preserve divine justice, but in doing so he again interprets Job’s words as though they constituted an accusation against God’s government.

Hört, ihr Weisen, meine Rede, und ihr Verständigen, merkt auf mich!
Oíd, sabios, mis palabras; Y vosotros, doctos, estadme atentos.
«Escuchen mis palabras, sabios; préstenme atención, ustedes que tienen conocimiento.
Sages, écoutez mes discours! Vous qui êtes intelligents, prêtez-moi l'oreille!
Voi savi, udite i miei ragionamenti; E voi intendenti, porgetemi l’orecchio.
Ouvi, vós, sábios, as minhas razões; e vós, entendidos, inclinai os ouvidos para mim.
「你們智慧人要聽我的言語, 有知識的人要側耳聽我。
