Verse 2 is found in chapter 16 of Judges. Samson enters Gaza and again becomes involved with a Philistine woman. The inhabitants try to capture him during the night, but he tears away the city gates and carries them to a mountain. The scene once again displays extraordinary strength while anticipating the pattern of impulsive relationships that will contribute to his downfall.
