Verse 10 is found in chapter 4 of Judges. Barak agrees to go into battle but asks Deborah to accompany him. She agrees and announces that the final victory over Sisera will be handed over to a woman. The statement anticipates Jael’s role and also shows that although Barak participates actively, he will not receive the final honor of capturing the enemy commander. Deborah then gathers the tribes called to the campaign.
