Verse 16 is found in chapter 6 of Judges. The angel of the Lord finds Gideon threshing wheat in a winepress to hide it from the Midianites. He calls him a "mighty warrior," although Gideon considers his family weak and himself the least important member. The conversation develops the contrast between human perceptions of weakness and the mission God entrusts to him. Gideon asks for a sign before fully accepting the task.
