Verse 12 is found in chapter 144 of Psalms. Psalm 144 presents God as the one who equips the king for battle and recognizes human beings as fragile and fleeting. The request for divine intervention includes cosmic phenomena and the defeat of enemies, but then broadens into a vision of national prosperity: children, full granaries, numerous flocks, and freedom from invasion. The conclusion identifies true happiness with having the Lord as God, not merely with enjoying prosperity.
