Verse 7 is found in chapter 18 of 1 Kings. Obadiah encounters Elijah and fears that announcing his presence to the king will result in his death if the prophet disappears again. Elijah insists on presenting himself to Ahab. The dialogue shows the risk involved in remaining faithful in a context of religious persecution. Obadiah represents discreet faithfulness, while Elijah represents direct and public confrontation with royal power.
