So he set it before them, and they did eat, and left thereof, according to the word of the LORD.

Verse 44 is found in chapter 4 of 2 Kings. During a time of famine, Elisha again encounters the sons of the prophets. A pot of food becomes contaminated, but the prophet intervenes and the food becomes safe. Immediately afterward, twenty barley loaves are used to feed one hundred men, and food remains according to the word of the Lord. Both scenes connect prophetic ministry with preserving life amid scarcity. The second anticipates a motif that will reappear later in biblical tradition: God can multiply apparently insufficient resources to feed a much larger community.

Então lhos pôs diante, e comeram e ainda sobrou, conforme a palavra do SENHOR.
