The word that Jeremiah the prophet spake unto Baruch the son of Neriah, when he had written these words in a book at the mouth of Jeremiah, in the fourth year of Jehoiakim the son of Josiah king of Judah, saying,
A verse can bring hope. Share this message of faith with someone you care about.
The verse 1 is found in chapter 45 of Jeremiah. Baruch receives a personal word in the midst of a time of calamity. God acknowledges his weariness and commands him not to seek great things for himself. The promise to preserve his life shows that faithfulness in times of crisis may simply consist of receiving life preserved by God, rather than obtaining personal greatness.
