The verse 32 is found in chapter 49 of Jeremiah. The kingdoms of Kedar and Hazor are called to flee and abandon their possessions because Nebuchadnezzar will execute judgment against them. Destruction reaches nomadic communities that trusted in their isolation. However, the oracle ends with a promise of restoration for Elam, maintaining the tension between judgment and mercy.
