Verse 13 is found in chapter 9 of 1 Kings. Solomon gives Hiram twenty cities in Galilee in exchange for the resources used for his great construction projects. Hiram is not pleased with them and calls them Cabul. The episode shows that Solomon’s prosperity also involves economic and territorial commitments. The idealized image of the kingdom begins to reveal tensions within its administration.
